Conley Griggs Partin began in 2001 on Roswell Road in Atlanta as Conley Sacks & Griggs, with the original partners having become friends while working as associates at the Butler Wooten firm’s Atlanta office before leaving amicably to follow their dreams of having their own Plaintiffs’ firm. In 2004, the firm relocated to Brookhaven as Conley Griggs, where the firm remained and prospered until relocating to the Hardin Building in Buckhead in 2011. After several significant successes, Cale and Richard decided to expand the firm and in 2012 added King & Spalding alum Ranse Partin, whom Cale had knowm from UGA law school and been friends with Cale and Richard with for several years as a name partner, forming Conley Griggs Partin LLP. In 2017, the firm purchased Its current office building on Northside Parkway and continued Its growth, doubling in size and expanding to open a South Georgia office.
Adding Ranse as a partner proved to be exactly what we all hoped It would be — a catalyst for growth and an expanded ability to help more clients and expand our footprint further Into business litigation while continuing to grow our core Plaintiffs’ personal Injury work.
Gaines v. Cumberland County, tried to a successful verdict in 2011 in North Carolina in a five-week trial that capped off eight years of litigation, including having to file and win an appeal to overcome the initial grant of summary judgment to Defendants. Aside from being able to obtain a result that forever bettered the life of our then-14-year-old quadriplegic client, the case also fostered change in how the Defendant conducted Its business, leading to new policies to protect children from child abuse.
