Individuals Looking for a Lawyer
Have you or a loved one been seriously injured because of the fault of someone else? Has your family lost a loved one due to a defective product, a reckless truck driver, or the carelessness of another? Do you own a business that has been defrauded or treated improperly by a partner or joint venturer and suffered a damaging monetary loss?
If you find yourself in any of those unfortunate or tragic situations, we at Conley Griggs Partin LLP know that this is one of the toughest periods of your life and you likely have many questions in need of answers. Do I have a good case? What are my legal options? What do I need to do to protect my interests? What kind of damages can I recover?
Those are common questions and we are here to help you answer them in a time of great need. For over a decade, our firm has helped individuals and businesses coping with trying times find answers, and often a significant damages recovery, because they have suffered harm as the result of others. While we will always wish the event that leads you to us had never occurred, we hope that you will contact us so that we can talk to you, listen to you, and evaluate whether we can help you make the most of a difficult situation.
Georgia Lawyers Seeking Additional Expertise
Are you a Georgia lawyer with a case outside your normal area of practice or a case that calls for additional expertise or resources to pursue? At Conley Griggs Partin LLP, we have been fortunate to work with many other Georgia lawyers like you, and have developed mutually beneficial co-counsel relationships to benefit clients in all areas of Georgia. In fact, solid relationships with referring counsel has been a foundation for our practice for over a decade.
While we stand ready to consult with you in virtually any kind of tort case with serious damages or complexity, we have found there are five kinds of cases where, over the years, our particular experience have been most beneficial to co-counsel and clients:
Products Liability Cases
Whether it is a tire blowout or tread separation case, a seat belt failure, the malfunction of a child’s toy or safety device, or any other kind of product failure that led to serious injuries or death, our firm is well-equipped to assist you in evaluating such cases, locating the qualified experts necessary to pursue them, and tackling the often difficult and expensive process of obtaining critical discovery from product manufacturers. One of our partners has been named a Georgia “Super Lawyer” in the area of Plaintiffs’ Products Liability cases for seven consecutive years and we have helped dozens of clients (and referring counsel) achieve significant recoveries in products liability cases. If you have such a case, consider us your resource to evaluate it and, if merited, work with you to pursue it.
Vehicle or Tire Repair Shop Cases
Do you have client who had a vehicle serviced at a tire dealer, auto care facility, or dealer and after the service was done, experienced a vehicle malfunction that led to a serious crash or injuries? Our firm has handled a number of cases involving facts like these over the past decade, and has developed particularized experience in identifying the unique issues, documents, facts and experts that they present. If you have such a case or believe your client may have been a victim of a negligent repair or shoddy service work, please contact us.
Crashes Involving Tractor-Trailers or Commercial Vans or Trucks
It seems like virtually every lawyer believes they are equipped to handle “tractor-trailer cases,” but the fact is that maximizing the value in such cases for a client requires specific experience and expertise in navigating the many federal and state rules and regulations that govern not only tractor-trailers, but other commercial vehicles like delivery vans, work trucks, or even cars being driven on the job. Our firm has worked with co-counsel in a wide range of commercial vehicle cases over the years to develop the evidence in such cases to lead to a positive result for the client, and we stand ready to lend that experience to you in any case involving a commercial vehicle and serious injuries or death.
Worksite Injury Caused By Third Party
Over the years, many of our cases have come from lawyers specializing in workers’ compensation cases who are pursuing a workers’ compensation claim for a client, but believe that a third party (i.e., someone other than the employer) may be liable under tort law principles for causing a worksite injury or death. These cases include situations where another contractor on the job was negligent and caused an injury, or a product located on the job failed or was defective and resulted in injury or death. We have developed specific experience in evaluating cases like this to determine if there is an avenue for recovery of damages outside the workers’ compensation scheme, and if so, helcoping co-counsel work through unique regulatory and factual issues that commonly arise in such cases. If you have a case where someone was injured or killed while on the job but believe someone other than the employer was negligent in causing the incident, please contact us for a further evaluation.
Business Fraud or Breach of Fiduciary Duty Cases
Dating back to involvement in the Six Flags v. Time Warner case in 1998 while at another firm (a $454 million verdict based on breach of fiduciary duty which was upheld by the Georgia Court of Appeals), our lawyers have frequently been contacted by Georgia lawyers to evaluate and pursue cases in which a business partner, joint venturer or professional in a position of trust with a client has violated duties of trust and fair dealing with the client, causing significant financial losses to the client. If you have a case in which any person placed in a position of trust (or fiduciary role) has treated a potential client fraudulently or unfairly, please call upon us and our experience in such cases to help you evaluate the situation and, if merited, work with you to pursue a claim.
